BLACK 3-STRAND PREMIUM TWISTED NYLON A premium quality black nylon rope using solution dyed yarn.
Solution dyed fiber assures color consistency throughout the rope.
All sizes above 5/16" diameter utilize plied yarns manufactured in a
four stage process. Nylon has the highest stretch, strength, and
shock absorbency of standard synthetic ropes. |

SUPERIOR NYLON (available in 3-STRAND TWISTED and 8-BRAID) Superior Nylon is made from 100% high tenacity multifilament nylon
fiber. The rope is manufactured at full weight with a medium firm
lay, resulting in true nylon performance. Orion Superior Nylon is
heat-set with steam in the filament stage. This process leads to
reduced hardening in use resulting in a rope with consistent
firmness workable throughout its service life. Orion's proprietary
marine finish is applied to each nylon filament to reduce internal
yarn abrasion and water absorption. This added step gives the rope
extended service life in an outdoor marine environment. All
diameters over 5/16" utilize plied yarn construction, manufactured
through a four stage process. The result is a consistent,
torque-balanced rope. |

INDUSTRIAL 100% NYLON (available in 3-STRAND TWISTED and 8-BRAID) Orion produces high quality 100% nylon ropes for industrial use. All
sizes above 5/16" diameter utilize plied yarns manufactured in a
four stage process. Orion uses specific grade raw material sourced
from well known manufacturers. Nylon filament is steam heat set
prior to twisting to reduce rope shrinkage in the field. Nylon has
the highest stretch, strength, and shock absorbency of any synthetic
rope. |

TWISTED ROPE Nylon Plus® synthetic rope is manufactured domestically to Orion Ropeworks standards and designed for you to compete with import
product. |

DOUBLE BRAID NYLON
Double braid rope is manufactured with a tightly formed jacket,
braided over a loosely formed semi-parallel core. High strength is
attained through the straighter filament alignment in the core of
the rope. The braided cover protects the core with an abrasion
resistant barrier. Nylon double braid has the highest strength to
elongation ratio of any rope made with conventional synthetic fiber.
With controlled stretch and superior energy absorption, nylon double
braid is ideal for marine applications and shock loading. Each
filament is treated with Orion's proprietary marine finish to reduce
internal yarn abrasion and water absorption. This added step gives
the rope extended service life. |
